Software Update: RideMax for Disneyland Now Includes Shows!

Aladdin at DCA is one of the shows now supported by RideMax

One of the most popular requests we’ve received is to add support for the various shows at Disneyland and DCA. While shows have long been supported by the Disney World version of RideMax, they’ve been missing from the Disneyland version — until today!

I’m excited to announce that RideMax for Disneyland now includes support for the following shows in RideMax itineraries, with exact showtimes specific to the date you’re planning to visit:

  • Fantasmic!
  • Disneyland Fireworks
  • Disneyland Parade
  • Jedi Training Academy
  • Mickey and the Magical Map
  • Billy Hill and the Hillbillies
  • Aladdin
  • Disney Junior – Live on Stage!
  • Pixar Play Parade
  • World of Color

As an added bonus, we’ve also updated RideMax to now include the single rider versions of both Indiana Jones and the Matterhorn Bobsleds.

This is by far the largest update we’ve done to RideMax in a while, and my hope is that this will give a significant boost in your ability to use RideMax to map out your day at Disneyland and DCA.

Because these features are so new, please let us know if you see anything unusual with the new features. You can do this by either by emailing us directly, or by sending us a message on our Facebook page.

How about you? Will you find this useful? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Thanks Mark! We appreciate all the improvements! We’ve already signed up and now the value just increased more. In about a week I am hoping Disney will post their hours for our trip dates (Halloween and the following weekend). God bless you and your family.

  2. This will be VERY helpful. Especially with the single rider lines for Matterhorn and Indiana Jones, that will be very helpful because I have seen very long lines for those, so it will be very helpful.

  3. Yes, Matthew, I’m hoping the new single rider additions to RideMax will prove helpful. Indiana Jones at least has FastPass as an alternative to the standby line, but the Matterhorn doesn’t offer FastPass, so I think single rider may be especially helpful there for customers that are able to take advantage of this.

  4. Oh, and I forgot to mention in my original post today that we’ve also added in-plan tips for several of these shows, including our recommendation on a great viewing spot for the parade, advice on getting selected for the Jedi Training Academy, and our preferred viewing location for World of Color, among others.

  5. Awesome. You may want to update your shows and parades page as it still says things like “RideMax doesn’t explicitly list these shows.”

  6. Yes, Kevin, you’re correct that we need to update the tips and hints page now. I was excited enough to get this shipping that I figured we could put the update out and then update the tips — hopefully within the next few days.

  7. Mark, our trip isn’t until December, do you foresee adding any of the Holiday Shows in a future update?

  8. Mark, Disneyland has finally updated their calendar through Nov 4 (the last day of our planned Disneyland trip). Now I just need to convince you to update Ridemax through that same time. Would you be so kind? I can’t wait to get planning.

  9. Hurray! I am so excited to hear about the shows being included! The hardest part of doing my schedules every time was getting all the breaks just right so we could go to the shows or parades…this makes things a lot easier!

  10. Hey Mark,

Can’t wait for our trip to Disneyland this February for my 49th B-Day and my daughter’s 16th B-Day (lucky to have them close together). Any idea when you’ll have updates for the dates including the week after the President’s holiday? Can’t wait to get started planning. And a big THANK YOU for creating this software! This really saved our bacon when we decided to take the girls to D-Land 3 years ago as a spur-of-the moment trip on Christmas Day.

  11. Ruben, I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but all of February is available for planning in RideMax for Disneyland now, as of last week. Have a great trip!
